The borehole source SBS1000 is designed for P-wave tomography between boreholes up to 1000 m depth. It can be used for high resolution surveying for CO2 and nuclear storage monitoring, mining shallow gas and the investigation of geothermal reservoirs. The SBS1000 consists of three high-voltage tubes connected by reinforced hoses and a surface control unit. Thedownhole source and the surface control unit communicate via standard 4-conductor logging cable.
